The First National Team's Technical Manager, Juan Antonio Pizzi, said that the match against Lebanon was not easy, stressing that the team feels the great support of the fans. He expressed his happiness with the level of the Green Falcons and the result.
The Green Falcons managed to beat Lebanon 2-0 in the second round of Group E of the Asian Cup, where it scored by Fahad Al-Muwallad and Hussein Al-Meqhawi.
"Our match against Lebanon was not easy at the beginning, but we have tried since the first few minutes to manipulate the match, which made us come out with its three points," the Technical Manager added in a release after the match.
"I am very happy with the level and the result in this match, which was outstanding at both the individual and collective levels, with the players having been committed to their roles and optimally showed their potential," he said.
"We feel the support and great love of the Green fans, and we appreciate this for them, and this is undoubtedly a great motivation for us in our journey throughout the championship," he continued.
"As time goes by, the matches become more difficult because the competing teams become well acquainted with the level of our team and technically work on this, which is normal, but we will certainly be well prepared for each match," he said.
