The national team resumed its preparations for the Asian Cup this evening with a training session at the New York University Stadium. This will be the final phase in the four-phase preparatory program organized for the 2019 Asian Cup.
The squad was put through special exercises focusing on endurance, followed by national team manager Juan Antonio Pizzi dividing the players into two groups placing his emphasis on "keeping the ball". The session concluded with the team cooling down with stretching exercises.
With regard to today's medical report:
Midfielder Ibrahim Ghalib participated in the group exercises after receiving a knock in the previous friendly against South Korea.
Defender Omar Hawsawi continued his fitness regime with the intention to make himself available for the first match.
Salman Al-Faraj continued his individual exercises under the watchful eyes of the medical staff across the two training sessions.
The national team will hold a closed session on Thursday at 4:30 pm on the same pitch.
