Pizzi: The Players did not Let me down. The Final Touch was Absent in this Match

The National Team's Technical Manager, Juan Antonio Pizzi, expressed his satisfaction with the Greens' performance against Japan, stressing that the final touch was not present.

The Green lost the match of the Asian Cup Round of 16 held on Monday at Sharjah Stadium with one goal without reply to its Japanese counterpart.

"I am very satisfied with the players who have represented my ideas and strategy on the pitch, and we are aware of our mistakes and will fully analyze them in the coming period. The players lacked the final touch with the chances of the match," said Pizzi at the press conference after the match.

The Technical Manager stressed that the Greens did not disappoint him, saying: "The players did not disappoint me with their level in the previous matches and today's match, but we should not forget that we played against one of the best teams in Asia, most of whose players are in European leagues".

"We chose the best players and all of them deserved to represent the team, and I am satisfied with their performance during the tournament and with the technical plans and strategies they earnestly tried to apply in the matches," he continued.
