The Greens: We Apologize to the Saudi fans

National Team's Striker Fahad Al-Muwallad apologized to the Saudi fans after losing to Japan with one goal without reply in the Round of 16 of the 2019 Asian Cup, following the match in which Al-Muwallad sees that the Green was in an excellent condition, but luck was not on their side on the field.

"We tried as much as possible to achieve a result that satisfies our fans. We played a good game against Japan, but this is football; sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. We apologize to the fans," he added.

For his part, Defender Yasser Al-Shahrani regretted leaving the tournament from the Round of 16, and said: "We tried and did our best to win the match, but luck was not on our side."

In the same context, Midfielder Salem Al-Dossari stressed that win is attributed to all, and loss is the responsibility of all elements, and said: "We dominated the match. We were in excellent condition, but Japan managed to win by seizing only one chance. We worked hard and played with all our strength for the sake of the dearest slogan."
