The Saudi senior squad members arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday to continue their preparations for the 2019 Asian Cup which kicks off on Saturday.
They will be facing Asian giants South Korea in their final international friendly of the year scheduled to be played on Monday at the Bani Yas Stadium.
Earlier in the day, the squad participated in a morning session at their home based in Dubai – Nad Al Sheba Club. The session was led by Juan Pizzi who focused on light workouts, beginning with a few runs leading up to recreational sessions for the team to bond.
The session was then taken over by the fitness coaches who focused on the upper body of the players concluding with stretching to resolve tension within the muscles.
Meanwhile, midfielder Salman Al-Faraj focused his time on individual exercises as advised by the medical team.
The senior squad will also hold a closed training session at 5:30 pm on Friday at the New York University Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Saudi Arabia will play their first match of the 2019 Asian Cup against DPR Korea on Tuesday at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.
