The Saudi Football Federation signed a partnership agreement with the Center for Government Communication to implement the media and communication plan for the national team participation in the World Cup that will be held next summer in Russia.
The Agreement was signed today at the Federation’s headquarters in Riyadh by its Vice President and the Head of the World Cup Preparation Team Nawaf bin Bandar Al-Tamayat, and the Center for Government Communication Director General Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth.
This Agreement aims at achieving the strategic partnership between government and non-government sectors in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. It also highlights the participation of the national team in this international event with the objective of disseminating the Saudi cultural, pioneering and leadership role.
Nawaf Al-Tamayat confirmed that this Agreement was concluded following several coordination meetings during which aspects of cooperation were discussed to develop communication strategies, public relations campaigns and media coverage for the team’s participation.
In this context, Nawaf Al-Tamayat stated: "we, at the Saudi Football Federation, wish to benefit from the services and abilities of the Center for Government Communication at the Ministry of Culture and Information in order to support the team’s journey and achieve the highest levels of professionalism by reflecting the ideal and civilization image of the Kingdom in terms of all aspects."
In turn, the Center for Government Communication Director General Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth pointed out that this Agreement is a true example of the integration and cooperation between the Center and government authorities. He added that this step is fully supported by the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Awad who instructed that the capabilities and resources of the Ministry shall be used for the success of this national participation and accompanying programs at the World Cup in Russia.
Al Maghlouth thanked the Football Federation represented by the Vice President and the Head of the World Cup Preparation Team Nawaf Al-Tamayat for his unequalled cooperation that culminated in the success of these joint efforts.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Shaker Al Ziaby, the Director of Media Communication for the Saudi team participation in the World Cup.
