Khaled El-Atawi unveils the secrets of the first days of the coexistence program with Real Betis coach Quique Setién

Under 20 National Team coach Khaled Al-Atwi revealed that, the first two days of the coexistence program with the technical staff of the Spanish  club Real Betis under the supervision of coach Quique Setién were busy with many meetings and events, praising the warm reception he received from Quique during these days, to activate the agreement which was concluded by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Spanish club, which runs until the tenth of February 2019.

"The reception we received was a very special, although there is a game for Real Betis on Wednesday that requires intensive work, the manager was keen to receive me personally and we had a brief meeting after the training of Betis team", El-Atawi said.

"During the meeting, coach Quique welcomed our presence, and explained that he will inform us during the expanded meeting on Thursday after Betis clash in Copa Del Rey, about the work's nature , methodology, style and philosophy that he follows, stressing that he will spare no effort to inform us of everything that is useful for our program.", he added.

The Under 20 National Team coach revealed that they have been at least 12 hours per day during the past two days in the club, which is a bee cell that has 16 teams in addition to the first team, pointing out that the technical staff members attended during their presence in the club the trainings of the junior teams, which included 12 teams, started from the Under 7 team to the Under 21 team, which all are working uniformly in terms of goals, style and philosophy, while the performance of every team is different.

Al-Atawi said that they held on the sidelines of these training sessions, a meeting with Pep Alumar the director of the methodology for the junior teams, who briefed them on the working method and methodology, in addition to the physical, artistic, psychological and mental objectives.

"We are confident that this coexistence program will be reflected effectively on us as a technical staff of the Under 20 national team in our preparations for the FIFA Youth World Cup, also this program has solidified concepts that we were already convinced of, as the choice to get this experience of coexistence with coach Quique Setién comes as a result of his style and philosophy approach, that is close to our working with the Saudi team style. ", he added.

Al-Atawi concluded by thanking Qusay Al-Fawaz, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, for giving this opportunity to the Under 20 national team's technical staff, to benefit from the experiences of Betis coach, which is a prominent name in the field of coaching, hoping that this experience will reflect a great technical benefit to the U 20 team, which is preparing to participate in the 2019 World Cup in Poland.

It is worth mentioning that the idea of coexistence, which includes the attendance of training sessions, technical lectures and games, as well as holding meetings and workshops, was adopted by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation Qusay Al Fawaz, who worked to achieve them on the ground by giving the technical staff of the national team Consisting of coach Khalid Al-Atawi, and his assistant Ahmed Al-Maliki, fitness trainer Abdullah Al-Muhaidib, goalkeeping coach Majid Al-Ghanim, and technical analyst Zamil Tamimi, in addition to working with a technical staff led by a well-known coach like Spanish Quique to take advantage of his technical expertise during the "Green Falcons" preparations to participate in the 2019 World Youth Cup in Poland.
