Under 21 National Team Lost its Friendly Match against Iraq at the Conclusion of the Riyadh Camp

Today, Monday, Under 21 National Team concluded its preparatory camp held in Riyadh, which is being held as part of the preparatory program for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers.

At the conclusion of its camp today, Monday evening, the Greens hosted its counterpart, the Iraqi team, for the match played at Al-Hilal Club Stadium. It ended with 3-1 for the Iraqi team.

The Iraqi team scored first in the 19th minute, after which Midfielder Ayman Al-Hajili snatched a tie in the 30th minute. Four minutes later, the Iraqi team scored its second goal, and then the third by the end of the first half.

Technical Manager Saad Al-Shihri entered the match with a list including: Amin Al-Boukhari as a goalkeeper, Abdullah Al-Shanqiti, Aoun Al-Salouli, Abdullah Hassoun, Hussein Qasim, Nasser Al-Omran, Hussein Al-Nakhli, Haitham Al-Khalif, Ayman Al-Hajili, Sami Al-Naji and Abdullah Al-Hamdan.

It should be noted that the Greens will host in March the matches of its Group, including the teams of the UAE, Lebanon and the Maldives, in the qualifiers for the Asian Cup to be held in Thailand at the beginning of next year. The top three teams of the tournament will qualify to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
