Under the supervision of Mr. Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Sport Authority and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, the National Team concluded its preparations ahead of the World Cup opening match on Thursday against Russia.
Before the beginning of the training, Al-Sheikh held a special meeting with the Green Falcons players in the middle of the field and asked them to make every possible effort to achieve everybody’s aspirations.
Al-Sheikh confirmed to Green Falcons players that everyone believes in their abilities and potentials, and this is their opportunity to write a new history for Saudi football.
The team then conducted its training session on the Luzhniki Stadium, which will host tomorrow’s match, under the direction of Coach Juan Antonio Pizzi. The training session started with warm-up exercises, followed by crossing and finishing exercises in both defense and offense.
Pizzi applied a number of off-ball tactical maneuvers to the key players who will participate in tomorrow’s match. The session ended with stretching exercises.
