
Referees Sultan Al-Harbi and Mamdouh Al-Shahdan officially join the AFC elite VAR list

The Saudi referees, Sultan Al-Harbi and Mamdouh Al-Shahdan, have officially joined the list of elite video assistant referees at the Asian level, after passing the training course held by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), at its headquarters in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, for international video referees during the period from August 19-23.
The duo joined the Saudi elite video referees list, which includes Mohammed Al-Huwaish, Khaled Al-Turais, Majed Al-Shamrani, Faisal Al-Balawi and Abdullah Al-Shehri.
For his part, the President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, congratulated the two international referees on their entry into the elite list of Asian video referees, wishing them success via presenting an honorable image of Saudi refereeing in Asia and the world.
"We are working hard to raise the level of Saudi referees who have placed their names among the elite video referees in the continent, and have achieved a prominent presence in many regional, continental and international events in the past period.", he added.
