SAFF's board of directors holds first meeting .. names committees chairmen

The board of directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, SAFF, hold its first periodic meeting on Tuesday, chaired by the SAFF's president, Yasser Al Misehal, in the aftermath of electing him as a president by acclamation last Saturday.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the SAFF valued the unlimited generous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, which contributed to the great shift witnessed in the Saudi football, confirming that this great attention has been tangible by everyone.
The SAFF's president, hailed the great interest and keen follow-up of his Highness, the president of the Board of Directors of the General Sport Authority, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, and his interest in all that can contribute to the success of the SAFF.
The SAFF's board lauded the launch of the talent scholarship program to develop football, stressing that it will be the beginning of a new phase in refining and taking care of talents, indicating that the SAFF will make all possible effort to make the program succeed.
The board of directors also thanked and appreciated the former board of directors and its committees for what they presented during the last period.
Board member Bandar Al-Ahmadi gave a presentation on the evaluation of the experimental phase of the regional training centers project that was held in Riyadh and Medina, which included the pros and cons and the technical and medical evaluation of talents.
The SAFF's board also discussed the financial reports and the administrative structure of the federation.
The Board of Directors decided to approve the transfer of the scheduling of the Saudi Professional League and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman division one League to the Saudi Professional League Association, starting from the next season 2019-2020, as stipulated in the statutes of the federation.
The board of directors approved the assignment of the SAFF's president Yasser Al Misehal, to the general supervision of the first national team, where a number of administrative and technical files are being studied.
The board decided that the External Clubs Cases Chamber would be under the supervision of the Professionalism and the Players' Status Committee.
The board approved the appointment of the heads of a number of committees and departments as follows:
1- Assigning Mr. Yasser Al Misehal to head the Commercial Committee, pending the appointment of a chairman for it.
2- - Establishment of the International Relations Committee and appointment of Mr. Khaled Al-Thobaiti as its Chairman.
3- Establishment of Development and Initiatives Department on technical and administrative aspects and appointment of Mr. Bandr Al-Ahmadi as its Chairman.
4- Mr. Turki Al-Sultan is appointed as the head of the Technical Committee.
5- The appointment of Dr. Khalid bin Muqrin as General Director of junior national teams’ management.
6- Establishment of the Strategic Committee headed by Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Afaliq.
7- Mr. Abdullah Kabuha appointed as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
8- Assigning Mr. Moayed Al-Shehri to head the Professionalism and Players' Status Committee after its president, Fares Al-Dhubayban, apologized
9- Appointment of Mr. Nazih Al-Nasr as Chairman of the Social Responsibility and Public Participation Committee.
10- Appointment of Mr. Naim Al-Bakr as Chairman of the Competitions Committee, while the work of the Committee is limited to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup and the second and third division leagues and competitions of the junior teams, and any competitions or championships introduced by the federation in accordance with the regulations.
11- Appointment of Dr. Saleh Al-Harthi as Chairman of the Medical Committee.
The General Secretariat will also address the members of the general assembly to nominate candidates for membership of the federation's authorities and committees.
