
The NT U-20 loses 1-2 to Slovakia in a friendly match

The under-20 national team lost its first friendly match against Slovakia 1-2 in the beginning of its participation in the international friendly tournament in Slovenia, and that will continue until the ninth of September, and it comes as part of the second phase of the preparation plan for the 2023 Asian Cup.
Slovakia scored an early goal in the tenth minute, before striker Meshary Al-Nimr scored the equalizer from the penalty in the 57th minute, after he was tackled inside the penalty area, while Slovakia added the second goal in the 73rd minute.
The coach of the national team, Saleh Al-Mohammadi, entered the match with a formation consisting of: Osama Al-Marmish (goalkeeper), Muhammad Al-Dosari, Muhammad Suleiman, Suleiman Hazazi, Abdulaziz Al-Faraj, Faisal Sabiani, Abdul-Malik Al-Ayiri, Yazeed Al-Ghamdi, Muhammad Al-Marri, Abdul-Aziz Al-Aliwa, and Meshary Al-Nimr.
In the second half, Al-Mohammadi made three substitutions, including Walid Al-Ayafi, Walid Ayesh, and Ali Abdel Raouf, instead of Faisal Sabiani, Suleiman Hazazi and Muhammad Al-Marri.
After the end of the match, the players who did not participate mainly performed warm-up exercises, possession of the ball, and exercises with small squares with the ball.
Next Saturday, the under-20 national team will face North Macedonia in its second friendly match in the friendly tournament, before concluding its participation on Tuesday against Russia.
