The NT U-23 opens the qualifiers against Uzbekistan

The under-23 national team will open tomorrow, Wednesday, its campaign in the qualifiers for the U-23 AFC Asian Cup 2022 in Uzbekistan, which will be held from October 27 to November 2.


The under-23 national team will be a guest to Uzbekistan national team at 3:00 pm in Uzbekistan time (1:00 pm KSA), at the Pakhtakor Club Stadium in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.

On the field level, the players of the national team conducted their training session this evening at the Pakhtakor Club stadium, under the supervision of coach Saad Al-Shehri and the assistant technical staff, during which they applied a tactical exercise.

On the other hand, the coach of the under-23 national team, Saad Al-Shehri, expressed during the press conference held this evening, his great confidence in the players, indicating that they are highly responsible and know their goal well.

Al-Shehri indicated their great quest to appear in the best appearance and achieve the full mark, with the presence of distinguished players in the team.

Saad Al-Shehri called on the fans of the national team for support, hoping that the players will achieve their ambitions to reach the Asian Cup and achieve positive results during it, and move forward towards the longer-term goal, which is to qualify for the Olympic Games (Paris 2024).

On the other hand, the Asian Football Confederation, represented by the Organizing Committee for Group Matches, held a coordination meeting in the presence of the participating team coaches, during which a number of logistical, security, marketing, media and medical organizations were discussed, and the “white” kit was approved for the national team matches in the qualifiers.
