The NT U-17 plays against Yemen in the final of the WAFF Championship on Monday

The under-17 national team will play tomorrow, Monday, its match in the final of the 2021 West Asian Football Federation Championship, which is be hosted by the Eastern Province from 5 to 13 December.

The under-17 national team will host Yemen national team at 6:45 pm at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam.

On the field level, the players of the national team resumed their training this evening, Sunday, on the reserve stadium of Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium, under the supervision of coach Abdel Wahab Al-Harbi and the assistant technical staff.

Al-Harbi divided the team into two groups, the first group, which included the players who participated mainly in the match against UAE national team yesterday, Saturday, performed a reflexive exercise, while the other group conducted a tactical exercise, followed by a practice of set-balls in both the defensive and offensive aspects.

It is worth noting that The under-17 national team defeated Lebanon 2-1 in the group stage and Iraq 3-0, while it qualified to the final after its semi-final victory over UAE 3-0.

For his part, the coach of the under-17 national team, Abdel Wahab Al-Harbi, said during the press conference for the final match, which was held this evening, that the 2021 WAFF Championship is considered a success in the technical, organizational and public aspects, indicating that it was very competitive and rich in talented players.

Al-Harbi indicated that the goal in the final match tomorrow, Monday, is to win the championship and continue to maintain the title, indicating their determination to appear optimally and achieve this goal.

On the preparation of this generation, Al-Harbi said: “We started with an exploration phase for players in four gatherings in the regions of the Kingdom at the beginning of this year, followed by preparatory camps in Egypt, Slovenia and Qatar, interspersed with various friendly matches at various levels".

He ended: "We always seek to create a generation and a nucleus for the national teams, while providing high technical levels and achieving the achievements that Saudi football is accustomed to”.
