The women's NT leaves for Maldives to play its first international match

The delegation of the women's national team will leave from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh tomorrow morning, Thursday, to Maldives, to play its first official international match.
The coach of women's national team, Monica Stubb, revealed the final list that will play the first match, when it is a guest of the Seychelles team on 12 February, before playing its second match against Maldives on 24 of the same month, in Male.
These two matches are the first in the history of the women's national team, in preparation for joining the monthly classification of the International Federation of Football Associations "FIFA" officially.
The final list selected from the technical staff included: Lama Al-Anazi, Sarah Khaled, Mona Abdel Rahman (goalkeeper), Atheer Khaled, Bayan Sadaqah, Hessa Al-Saadallah, Lin Muhammad, Lana Abdel-Razzaq, Ohoud Al-Amari, Tala Al-Ghamdi, Mashael Al-Harbi (defense), Asrar Al-Shaibani, Dalia Abu Laban, Fahda Al-Saad, Juri Tariq, Layan Johari, Maryam Al-Tamimi, Farah Jafri, Noura Al-Ibrahim, Raghad Mukhaizin, Sarah Hamad and Saba Tawfiq (centre), Al-Bandari Mubarak, Al-Bandari Muhammad, Tahani Al-Zahrani (attack)
For her part, German coach Monica stressed that the goal of these two matches is to gain experience: "Our goal is for the players to gain the experience necessary to play international matches, in addition to that we seek to officially join the FIFA classification".
About the mechanism that she followed to select the players: “Since last September, we have started searching for players through whom we can start the national team’s journey and compete in its official and international competitions, through this camp, we seek to create the harmony we are looking for before playing the Seychelles and Maldives matches next month".
She added, "The establishment of the first official Saudi league through the regions league and then the Kingdom's championship played a major role in the selection process, and helped us a lot as a technical staff with the players playing competitive matches, facilitating our role during this camp, and we hope that the team will be fully prepared when participating in its first official tournament".
It is worth noting that the camp witnessed the attendance and follow-up of the national team supervisor, "Alia Al-Rasheed", who expressed her satisfaction with the technical benefits achieved in the camp, and thanked and appreciated the players for their efforts and discipline throughout the camp.
On the other hand, Lamia Bin Bahian, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of the Women’s Football Department, said: “I would like to congratulate all the players who have been selected, they have to be proud to be able to represent their country in its official match, and they have to work hard to Maintain their presence in this list, and I would also like to thank their colleagues from the rest of the players for the work they did during the last period during the camp, and they have to continue working and trying to be with the team again, and the team’s door is always open to all players, as we are constantly evaluating the players”.
