
SAFF approves the Saudi Super Cup with the participation of 4 teams

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has approved the new system for the Saudi Super Cup, starting from the next 2022-2023 edition, to be held with the participation of 4 teams; The champion and runner-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, and the champion and runner-up of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional Cup League.
The tournament will be held in 3 matches, the semi-finals and the final.
The decision of the SAFF is based on what was submitted by the Competitions Committee and the Commercial Committee, with the aim of raising the level of competition by expanding the base of participation in the Saudi Super Cup, and raising the marketing value of the tournament.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation will set the date of the tournament, in coordination with the relevant authorities and sponsoring companies, according to the calendar of the next sports season.
