The NT futsal qualifies for the AFC Asian Futsal Cup

The national futsal team has officially qualified for the Asian Futsal Cup, to be held in Kuwait in October 2022,

The national futsal team qualified after a 3-3 draw with the Lebanese national team, today (Thursday), at Sheikh Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, in the third round of the West Asian qualifiers.

The national futsal team played the match with great desire and determination to achieve victory, so Fares Al-Qahtani scored the first goal, then Abdul Rahman Al-Mulla added the second goal, but before the end of the first half the Lebanese national team reduced the result.

In the second half, the national team entered with great enthusiasm and player Nawaf Al-Arwan scored the third goal, put players wasted a lot of opportunities, so Lebanon scored the second and third goals before the end.

Thus, the national team qualifies for the AFC Asian Futsal Cup with 5 points, from a victory over Palestine and two draws with Oman and Lebanon.

The coach of the first national futsal team, Andrew Plaza, expressed his great happiness for achieving the desired goal and qualifying for the finals.

Plaza expressed his thanks and appreciation to all players, technical and administrative staff and all employees of the national team for their work and great spirit.
