Renard confirms Saudi Arabia are ready for Yemen clash

French manager, Herve Renard, the coach of Saudi Arabian national team, confirmed the Saudi team became ready for facing Yemen, in the qualifiers of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Renard said in the press conference, ahead of the game, on Monday, that opening games in world cup qualifiers are always important for any participating team, so the Green Falcons must present a strong image against Yemen.
"The Saudi team has distinguished players, can help any coach, in achieving good results, as they have quality and intelligence.”, Renard said.
Renard stressed that Yemen game will not be easy, pointing out that Yemen national team is a strong team, and they proved that against Singapore.
"I know Yemen team very well, reaching world cup is the target of the technical staff, all will work on achieving this target by making their greatest possible effort.", he added.
For his part, Omar Hosawi, captain of the Saudi team, said that the players are aiming at presenting a distinguished performance in their first game in the qualifiers to achieve the desired goal.
"I am proud to hold the captaincy armband, like great Saudi players, who served the Saudi football, the most important thing is using my experience inside and outside the pitch to help the group".
