Saudi Olympics team concludes friendlies ahead of AFC U-23 Championship by beating Thailand
The Saudi Arabia u-23 national team, overcame Thailand 1-0, on Friday, in a friendly game, at Nonthaburi Stadium, Bangkok, within Thailand preparatory camp, in the fourth and last phase of preparations for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship, Thailand, which will be held from the 8th until the 26the of January, and will determine the qualified teams to Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Abdalla Al-Hamdan scored the Saudi team winning goal in the 43rd minute.
For his part, manager Saad Al-Shehri entered the game with the following starting XI: Mohamed Al-Yami (Goalkeeper), Saud Abdelhamid, Abdelbasit Hendy, Hassan Al-Tembkty, Khalid Al-Debesh, Nasser Al-Omran, Hussien Al-Essa, Sami Al-Nagie, Khalid Al-Ganam, Moktar Ali and Abdalla Al-Hamdan.
The Saudi Olympics team thus concluded the fourth and last phase of preparations for the Asian cup.
It must be mentioned that, the draw of the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship, put KSA in Group B, alongside: Japan, Syria and Qatar, as the first game will be against Japan at January 9th, followed by Qatar on January 12th, then Syria on January 15th, at the end of group stage.
