Social Responsibility launches Community Associations establishment initiative

The Social Responsibility and Public Participation Committee, of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, SAFF, in cooperation with the general department of social responsibility in the Ministry of Labor and Development, launched an initiative to motivate players and clubs to establish community associations, for professional clubs, retired and current players.
This initiative aims at organizing and managing the work of players and clubs in the field of the social responsibility in a permanent and sustainable way.
The idea of the initiative is to limit the developing projects, which are appropriate to the youth and sport sectors in particular and the development sector in general, to determine the developing issues these associations will adopt in each club, as all the charitable and social work and initiatives of any player or club, will be assigned to these associations.
For his part, Nazih Al-Nassr, the chairman of the Social Responsibility and Public Participation Committee, lauded the great work of His Excellency, the Minister of Labor and Social Development, to activate this initiative, which aiming at organizing the charitable and social work in the clubs.
"This is a step within a number of plans on the agenda of the committee, we have a lot of clubs who present a great social and charitable work, the role of the committee is to organize and facilitate the clubs' assignments to serve our society.", Al-Nassr said.
The general manager of the social responsibility, Faisal Al-Yossif, stressed the importance of activating social responsibility in the popular clubs, as these clubs have the ingredients, which can help the ministry and the society to reach best practices.
"It is necessary to invest past community-based businesses and initiatives in clubs and transform them into valuable, sustainable and measured institutional work that we can then compete regionally and globally", he added.
