SAFF allows the Third Division League clubs to sign professional players

The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation approved allowing the third division league clubs to register Saudi professional players without a maximum limit, and “2” non-Saudi professional players and one professional born player, provided that he was born in 2000 or older, from the 2023-2024 sports season.
The decision of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation is based on the recommendations issued by from meeting with the clubs of the third division league, which was held on Monday, June 26.
SAFF also agreed to amend the players’ registration periods for third division clubs for the 2023-2024 sports season, so that the summer period starts from July 1 until September 20, and the winter period starts from January 1, 2024 until 30 of the same month.
It is noteworthy that the third division league 2023-2024 will start on November 3.
