
The Women's International Friendly Tournament returns in its second edition

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the organization and hosting of the second edition of the women's international friendly tournament in Taif, from 18 to 30 September.
The national teams that will participate in the tournament were divided into two groups according to their international classification, as the national team (host) is at the top of the first group, along with Pakistan and Malaysia, while the second group includes Laos, Bhutan, and Lebanon.
The first and second places qualify for the semi-finals, while the last two in the tournament will play the fifth place match, while the two semi-final losers will play the third place matchm while the final match will be held on September 30 at King Fahd Sports City Stadium in Taif.
The tournament aims to develop the women's national team and raise the technical level by facing various internationally ranked teams.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation had organized the first edition of the tournament in 2023 in Dammam, as the national team was able to achieve the championship.
Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Lamia bint Ibrahim bin Bahaian, praised the development in women’s football, noting that such tournaments give the women’s national team more accumulated expertise and useful experiences, which is reflected in the technical level of the Saudi players in particular and in the team’s collective performance in general.
Bin Bahaian welcomed all the national teams participating in the tournament, wishing them a pleasant stay in their second country.
