The national futsal team books its place in AFC Asian Cup finals in Thailand

The first national futsal team officially qualified for AFC Asian Futsal Cup, to be held in Thailand in April 2024, after defeating Indonesia national team 3-2, at the conclusion of the matches of the second group of the Asian qualifiers that were held in Dammam.

The national futsal team coach entered the match with a squad consisted of: Hammoud Al-Dahan as a goalkeeper, Fahd Al-Juhani, Abdullah Al-Aqili, Farhan Al-Asmari, and Nawaf Al-Arwan.

The national futsal team started the first half quickly, and scored three goals Fares Al-Qahtani, Moaz Al-Asiri and Nawaf Al-Arwan.

In the second half, Indonesia national team scored the first and second goals, ending the match with the victory and qualifying of the national team.

The national futsal team won the second qualification card after collecting 6 points from two wins and a loss, while Afghanistan national team took first place with 7 points, then Indonesia in third place with 4 points, and Macau in the fourth place without points.
