Al Misehal and Al Kassim participate in the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting of AFC

President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and member of the FIFA Council, Yasser Al Misehal, and Secretary-General of SAFF, Ibrahim Al Kassim, participated today, Wednesday, in the extraordinary general assembly meeting of the Asian Football Confederation, headed by Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, and in the presence of the President of the International Federation of Football Associations Gianni Infantino, which was held via video call.
According to the media statement issued by the Asian Football Confederation, a number of national member associations of AFC expressed their support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s candidacy to host the World Cup 2034.
The General Assembly also witnessed the election of Bandar Al-Humaidani, the President of the Disciplinary Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, to be a member of the Disciplinary Committee of AFC 2023-2027.
The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation thanked His Excellency the President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and the member associations of AFC that announced support for the Kingdom’s candidacy to host the World Cup 2034, stressing that the Kingdom will work to present a distinguished file that reflects the great development witnessed by Saudi football in particular and Asian football in general.
Al Misehal also congratulated Bandar Al-Hamidani on his election as a member of the AFC Disciplinary Committee, wishing him success in his new mission.
