Regional training centers achieved great evolution during the last sports season 2022-2023, as they contributed to the transfer of 311 talents from the centers to sports clubs in preparation for starting their football careers.

The regional training centers are one of the most important initiatives of the management of youth, academies and training centers in the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, and they aim to discover and develop talents, as part of SAFF's strategy to develop more than 4,000 players by 2025.

Last season, the regional training centers witnessed the participation of 3,556 players, of 1,055 were accepted, before 311 players were able to pass all the tests for these talents to move from the training centers to the clubs.

The activities of the regional training centers were held in 17 cities across 28 training centers, with the centers of Mecca, Tabuk, Yanbu, Al-Qassim and Al-Ula being at the forefront of the centers that provided the largest number of players to the clubs.

The centers are supervised by specialized national coaches who work to develop and discover talents, and they are part of SAFF's talent development programs, which are part of the football transformation strategy launched in 2021.

It is noteworthy that the regional training centers of the current season 2023-2024 are being conducted in two phases. The first began on September 10 for those born from 2008 to 2011, and the second phase will be held on November 1 for those born from 2012 to 2014, noting that the current season continues until July 2024.
