Conclusion of the second Phase of the Talent Discovery Stations Program in Al-Ahsa

The second phase of the talent discovery stations program was concluded, which was held at the Al-Ahsa Talent Academy in Al-Ahsa Governorate, under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, represented by the Technical Administration, with the aim of discovering football talents and providing them with the opportunity to join sports clubs and regional training centres.

The number of participants in the second station reached 228 talents, under the supervision of 10 coaches, where the players were distributed into several groups, to conduct a number of fitness and training tests, with the presence of 12 former international players to participate in the evaluation, and at the conclusion of the festival the participants were honored with souvenirs, provided that sorting the talents who have passed the tests in preparation for joining the regional training center in accordance with the talent development path, which represents one of the pillars of the Saudi football transformation strategy that was announced in September 2021.

The third station is scheduled to be held in the city of Hafar Al-Batin next December, followed by 10 upcoming stations in Al-Kharj, Hafr Al-Batin, Bisha, Yanbu, Al-Jawf, Jubail, Al-Rass, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Mecca, and Jazan.

It is noteworthy that the program targets talents from 10-14 years old, while the talent discovery program targets ages 6-9 years old, while the ages remain open in the FIFA program for schools.

For his part, the technical officer for the regional training centers, Saleh Al-Dawoud, extended his thanks and appreciation to Al-Ahsa Talent Academy for the good reception and fruitful cooperation which led to the success of the second phase of the talent discovery stations program.
