
NT U-17 reaches the WAFF Junior Championship Semi-Finals, faces Iraq

The Saudi under-17 national team qualified to the semi-finals of the 2023 West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Junior Championship in Oman, after holding a 0-0 draw with Emirates, on Saturday, at Al Saada Stadium in Salalah, Oman.
French coach Stephane Salient started the match with a line-up consisted of: Muhammad Al-Otaibi in goalkeeping, Mishaal Al-Daoud, Abu Bakr Saeed, Nasser Al-Faihani, Abdulaziz Asiri, Thari Ahmed, Abdulaziz Al-Fawaz, Saeed Al-Dosari, Abdulrahman Sufyani, Al-Walid Al-Awfi, and Salem Abdullah.
While a number of substitutions were made throughout the second half, as Mukhtar Barnawi, Abdullah Hazazi, Muhammad Madkhali, Badr Al-Harbi and Abdul Hadi Matari replaced Al-Waleed Al-Awfi, Abdulaziz Asiri, Abdul-Rahman Sufyani, Thari Ahmed and Salem Abdullah.
The Saudi team is scheduled to face the Iraqi national team, the day after tomorrow, Monday, in the semi-finals of the 2023 WAFF Junior Cup in Oman.
