
NT U-23 defeats Ivory Coast in friendly in preparation for the Asian Cup

The Saudi Arabia U-23 national team defeated Ivory Coast on penalties 3-2 after they tied 2-2 in the test match that took place between the two teams at Saturday evening, within the preparatory camp in the United Arab Emirates, which is held within the framework of the preparation program for the 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar.
The Ivory Coast national team scored first in the 20th minute, before Haitham Asiri made it 1-1 in the 32nd minute, then Marwan Al-Sahafi added the second goal for the Green in the 44th minute, while the Ivory Coast national team's second goal came in the 90th + 2th minute of the match.
Technical director Saad Al-Shehri entered the match with a list consisted of: Muhammad Al-Absi in goalkeeping, Muhammad Abu Al-Shamat, Muhammad Suleiman, Muhammad Al-Yami, Islam Hawsawi, Abdul-Ilah Hawsawi, Faisal Al-Asmari, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Ziad Al-Juhani, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi and Haitham Asiri.
Tomorrow, Sunday, the Green U-23 team will resume training at the Emirates Football Association Stadium, as part of the preparatory camp for the 2024 Asian Cup in Qatar.
