The Referees Committee concludes its regular meeting in Jeddah with the participation of Roshen Professional League referees

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Referees Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation concluded its regular meeting, which was held during the period from April 28-30 in Jeddah, with the participation of the referees of the Roshen Professional League.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Referees Committee, Manuel Navarro, before the Director of the Technical Arbitration Department, the Uzbek Farhad Abdullah, reviewed the most prominent cases in the past rounds of the Roshen League, while the lecturer in the International and Asian Football Federations, Ali Al-Tarifi, gave a lecture on the cases in which VAR intervention is permitted and communication between referees when reviewing these cases.
The evening period of the first day witnessed a lecture presented by the Assistant Director of the Arbitration Department, the Spanish Roberto Diaz, about the work of assistant referees and providing many directions for quickly making the right decision and how to cooperate with the arena referee and VAR referees.
The second day witnessed a test of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology conducted by the Director of the Refereeing Department, who also continued to review the most prominent cases in matches, especially inside the penalty area. Lecturer Ali Al-Tarifi also held a lecture in which he continued to talk about cases of VAR intervention, while fitness training was held for the referees under the supervision of the fitness coach Madamba Mbaki.
The regular meeting concluded with a lecture presented by the Director of the Arbitration Department on cases of VAR intervention regarding hand touches and tactical errors, to be presented in the evening on the correct positioning on the field and some aspects related to football law.
