
Conclusion of the talent discovery program for boys and girls in Abha

Yesterday, Wednesday, the 12th phase of the talent discovery program for boys and girls was concluded, which was held in the city of Abha over the course of May (7) and (8,) under the supervision of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, represented by the Technical Administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, represented by the Saudi School Sports Federation, with the aim of discovering football talent in schools and providing the opportunity to join sports clubs and regional training centres.
The festival, which was held at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium, witnessed the participation of (140) players under the supervision of (25) coaches and (11) teachers, and the participation of (124) female players under the supervision of 9 female coaches and (11) teachers.
The talent discovery program is part of the Saudi Federation’s efforts to achieve the goals of the Saudi football transformation strategy, which relied on 7 pillars, the most prominent of which is the talent development path.
At the conclusion of the festival, the participants were honored with souvenirs, and the talents that passed the technical and fitness tests were screened in order to be followed up and worked on developing them in the future.
It is noteworthy that the technical administration of the SAFF set the ages of male participants from 6 to 9 years, and the ages of female student participants from 9 to 12 years.
The festival is scheduled to be held in 13 upcoming cities: Dawadmi, Qaisumah, Taif, Bisha, Wadi Al-Dawasir, Qurayyat, Rafha, Baqaa, Al-Rass, Jubail, Al-Qunfudhah, Yanbu and Al-Ula.
For his part, the technical official for the management of buds, academies and regional training centers, KhaledAl-Farhan, extended his thanks and appreciation to the Ministries of Sports and Education, the Saudi School Sports Federation, and the Asir Education Department, for their interest and support for this festival.
He also extended his thanks to the male and female teachers participating in the program.
