The Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, based on what was submitted by the Professionalism and Players’ Status Committee, approved the regulations for registering non-Saudi players under the age of 21 and their participating as of the next sports season 2024-2025 within the Saudi Roshan Professional League clubs, after a workshop was held to discuss the regulations with Roshn Saudi Professional League clubs, in the presence of the Saudi Professional League Association, and the Professionalism, Player Status and Competitions Committees.
The Professionalism and Player Conditions Committee has set 3 conditions that regulate the players’ participation process, as if all ten non-Saudi players continue with the team in the following season, the club has the right to participate with the same players even if their ages exceed the age specified in the season, as well as if the club wants to drop the player of the same age specified in the sports season during the winter registration period, the new player must be of the same age specified in the same season in which the application is submitted. However, in the event that the club wishes to drop a non-Saudi player or players who have exceeded the specified age during the sports season in the summer registration period, the new player or players must match the age specified for the season in which the application is submitted.
