
Women's FDL to be held with 9 clubs participating after Al-Wehda's apology

The Competitions Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, decided to hold the new season of the Women's First Division League (Women’s FDL)"2024-2025", with the participation of only 9 clubs instead of 10.
This came after the committee received a letter from Al-Wahda club stating its apology for participating this season, after the competition schedule was issued less than a month before the start of the season.
It was decided that the new season of the First Division League would start on its previously scheduled date on September 27, with the participation of 9 teams and one team being relegated to the lower division.
*Al-Wehda Club confirmed in its apology letter commitment to supporting the development of women's football and working to improve conditions to ensure the club's return to participate in women's competitions in the coming seasons.
