The Vice President of the African Football Confederation (CAF), Ms. Knizat Ibrahim, and the President of the Comoros Football Association, Saeed Othman, attended today, Saturday, the match between Al-Hilal and Eastern Flames FC in the first round of the Saudi Women's Premier League for the 2024-2025 season, on the sidelines of their meeting with the Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), Lamia bint Ibrahim bin Bahyan.
The Vice President of the SAFF welcomed Ms. Knizat Ibrahim and Mr. Saeed Othman, whose visit comes as part of the African Football Confederation delegation that was in the Kingdom to follow the 2024 African Super Cup match, which was hosted by the Kingdom Arena Stadium in Riyadh, yesterday, Friday.
During the visit, aspects of cooperation in the field of women's football in the region were discussed, as well as the development of the sport in recent years.
It is worth noting that an educational workshop was organized in cooperation with the African Football Confederation for 32 Saudi and African female coaches under the supervision of an elite group of international experts last May in the capital, Riyadh, which was crowned with success and exchange of football experiences.
The meeting falls within the pillar of strengthening international relations, which is considered one of the seven pillars of the Saudi Football Transformation Strategy launched by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation in September 2021.
