The Saudi Arabia national team launched its preparatory camp in Jeddah on Sunday evening, in preparation for the third and fourth rounds of the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Green Falcons will host Japan on October 10, and Bahrain on October 15, with both matches taking place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
On the field, the Saudi team players conducted their first training session this evening at the "King Abdullah Sports City Reserve Stadium", under the supervision of technical director Roberto Mancini, and in the presence and follow-up of the President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation Yasser Al-Misehal and Secretary-General Ibrahim Al-Qassim.
The training session began with warm-up exercises, then passing exercises, after which the technical director allocated recovery exercises for the players who participated as starters with their clubs yesterday, while the rest of the players were satisfied with various tactical exercises, and the training session concluded with stretching exercises.
In a related context, the player "Marwan Al-Sahafi" was satisfied with special exercises with the medical staff due to his feeling of muscle pain.
On the other hand, the technical director of the national team "Roberto Mancini" decided not to include the player "Sultan Al-Ghannam" in the Green Camp, based on the medical report submitted by the national team's medical staff, and his need for a treatment program, as a result of the injury he sustained yesterday while participating with his club.
The national team will continue its preparatory program tomorrow evening, Monday, with a closed evening training session at the "King Abdullah Sports City Reserve Stadium" at 6:00 p.m.
