Saudi Football Federation issued a decision to appoint Swiss Manuel Navarro as director of referees’.
The decision to hire the Navarro comes in succession to the British Jacob Colin who was assigned as the manager of the assistant video control technology VAR till the end of his contract.
This step comes to achieve the utilization of the best qualifications in the director’s department. Navarro is an addition due to his concrete experience throughout his journey.
Manuel held a number of positions, the most prominent of which was the deputy director of the Board of referees and the director of the far Technology and Development in the International Football Federation, in addition to his work on developing the referees and lecturers. Also, supervising the World Cup’s referees in 2014 and 2018, as well.
The Swiss Navarro worked as a co-governing assistant and co-operated 60 international games from 2006 to 2012, and contributed to the management of 240 Swiss league games..
