
The NT U-20 loses to Iran in friendly match in preparation for Asian Cup

The Saudi Arabia under-20 national team lost 2-1 to Iran in the friendly match that brought them together on Thursday evening, as part of the preparatory camp in China, which is being held in preparation for The AFC U-20 Asian Cup in China, scheduled to start on 12 February.
The Iranian team opened the scoring in the 41st minute of the first half via a penalty kick, while the Green team's goal came through player Saad Haqawi in the 59th minute, and the Iranian team added the second goal in the 68th minute of the match.
The Brazilian coach Marcos Soares entered the match with a list consisting of: Hamed Youssef, Sultan Al-Essa, Mohammed Barnawi, Saleh Barnawi, Awad Aman, Bassam Hazazi, Rakan Al-Ghamdi, Farha Al-Shamrani, Saad Haqawi, Ziyad Al-Ghamdi and Talal Haji.
The Saudi youth team will resume training the day after tomorrow, Saturday, in preparation for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
It is worth noting that the Saudi under-20 national team plays in Group B, of the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, alongside Iraq, Jordan, and North Korea.
