The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) followed up on the incident of Al Jabalain goalkeeper Marcelo Carney assaulting the referee Mamdouh Al Shahdan in the Al Jabalain match against Al Adalah Club today, Wednesday, in the Yelo First Division League.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation expresses its rejection and denunciation of the incident and its full affirmation of the respect of the game's elements for the refereeing crews and following the systems and instructions that stipulate fair play and that there is no place for such incidents in our football tournaments that present a positive image of the competition.
The SAFF also confirms its support for referee Mamdouh Al Shahdan and all football referees in Saudi football competitions to ensure that they perform their duties in an atmosphere that embodies ideal sportsmanship in Saudi football competitions.
