Renard announces Saudi Arabia squad for World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain and Australia

National team coach Hervé Renard announced the Saudi Arabia squad for the ninth and tenth rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Saudi Arabia national team will face Bahrain on June 5 at the Bahrain International Stadium, before hosting Australia on June 10 at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
Herve Renard's list included (34) players to join the camp, and their names were as follows: Nawaf Al-Aqidi, Ahmed Al-Kassar, Hamed Yousef, Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi, Hassan Kadesh, Jihad Dhakri, Abdul-Ilah Al-Omari, Ali Lajami, Hassan Al-Tambakti, Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti, Saud Abdul-Hamid, Mutab Al-Harbi, Nawaf Bushal, Ali Majrashi, Muhammad Bakr, Mukhtar Ali, Musab Al-Juwair, Ali Al-Asmari, Nasser Al-Dosari, Faisal Al-Ghamdi, Muhammad Kano, Ali Al-Hassan, Ziad Al-Jahni, Turki Al-Ammar, Marwan Al-Sahafi, Salem Al-Dosari, Hammam Al-Hamami, Abdulrahman Al-Aboud, Ayman Yahya, Abdullah Al-Hamdan, Abdullah Al-Salem, Muhannad Al-Saad, Saleh Al-Shehri, Firas Al-Brikan. The national team will hold a training camp in Khobar starting next Wednesday. During the camp, the Green Falcons will participate in a closed friendly training session against the Jordanian national team on May 30 at Ego Stadium, Al-Ettifaq Club.
All players will join the Green Falcons' camp, with the exception of the Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadisiyah players, who will join the camp after participating with their clubs in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup final.
It is worth noting that the national team plays in Group C of the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, alongside Japan, Australia, Bahrain, China, and Indonesia.
