
The KSA Futsal NT Kicks Off Its Intercontinental Cup Journey Against Australia

The Saudi Arabia futsal national team will kick off its 2025 International Futsal Intercontinental Cup campaign tomorrow, Tuesday, against Australia at 1:00 PM (Saudi time) at the Nonthaburi Provincial Hall.
On the field, the Green Falcons Futsal Team completed its preparations for the match with a training session this evening in the hall that will host the tournament's matches, led by Spanish coach Andrew Plaza. During the session, the technical staff focused on implementing tactical aspects and the match plan, along with light training to regain physical condition.
On the sidelines of the tournament, the organizing committee held a technical meeting attended by representatives of the participating teams. During the meeting, the tournament's mechanisms and technical, refereeing, disciplinary, media, and security regulations were discussed and clarified.
The national team was represented at the meeting by team manager Abdulrahman Al-Rumaih.
Technical director Andrew Plaza also held a press conference to discuss the national team's preparations for the tournament, stressing that the "Saudi Futsal Team" is ready for the competition and aims to maximize technical benefits from this participation, which is part of the team's preparations for the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers will be held in Dammam from September 20 to 24. The draw for the qualifiers placed the national team in Group D alongside Iraq, Pakistan, and Chinese Taipei.
