The Saudi Arabia national futsal team began its journey in the 2025 Intercontinental Futsal Cup with a 3-1 victory over Australia in the first round of Group B on Tuesday at the Nonthaburi Provincial Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Green Falcons Futsal Team's goals were scored by Abdullah Al-Aqili (two goals) and Fahad Al-Rudaini.

Spanish coach Andreu Plaza adopted a balanced plan throughout the match, combining early pressure with defensive organization, while effectively exploiting offensive space.

The Saudi Futsal Team will play its second match in the group stage tomorrow, Wednesday, against Zambia, seeking to achieve its second victory and consolidate its lead in the group.

The Green Futsal Team's participation in this friendly international cup is part of the team's technical preparation program for the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia in Dammam from September 20 to 24.
