
NT Futsal Reaches the Intercontinental Futsal Cup Final After Defeating Chinese Taipei

The Saudi national futsal team qualified for the final of the 2025 Intercontinental Futsal Cup after defeating Chinese Taipei 5-0 in the semi-final match held today, Saturday, at the Nonthaburi Provincial Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.
The goals for the Green Futsal Team were scored by Nawaf Al-Arwan (two goals), Ihab Ahmed, Abdullah Al-Maghribi, and Fahad Al-Jahni.
During the match, Spanish coach Andreu Plaza implemented a number of technical and tactical plans, making substitutions in groups to give all players a chance to participate and diversify the playing style.
The "Green Falcons Futsal Team" began their tournament journey with a 3-1 victory over Australia, followed by a 5-4 victory over Zambia, before concluding the group stage with a 4-2 victory over Belarus, achieving a perfect score and topping their second group.
The Saudi team will face Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals, defeating them 5-0.
The "Green Futsal Team" will face Thailand in the final match tomorrow, Sunday, at the conclusion of the tournament held in the Kingdom of Thailand.
This participation is part of the national team's preparatory program for the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship qualifiers, which will be held in Dammam from September 20 to 24.
The draw for the qualifiers, held on June 6, placed the national team in Group D alongside Iraq, Pakistan, and Chinese Taipei.
