The Saudi national futsal team began training on Tuesday as part of the third and final phase of its preparation program for the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Qualifiers, which will be held in Indonesia.
The Saudi Futsal Team players conducted their training at the Ministry of Sports' "Green" Hall in Dammam, under the supervision of Spanish coach Andrew Plaza, who began the training session with a technical meeting with the players, during which he emphasized the importance of this phase and the need to fully focus on technical and disciplinary aspects.
The players were then divided into groups for fitness and physical exercises, followed by tactical exercises using the ball. The session concluded with an internal technical drill, followed by stretching exercises.
It's worth noting that the draw for the 2026 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, held on June 6, placed the national team in Group D alongside Iraq, Chinese Taipei, and Pakistan. The qualifiers will be held from September 20 to 24 in Dammam.خ
