NT U-17 Women’s prepares for the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Saudi Arabia U-17 Women's National Team camp kicked off in Dammam on Friday and will continue until October 10.

This camp is part of the preparatory program for the 2026 AFC U-17 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers, which will be held at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium in Khobar from October 11 to 17.

The camp aims to enhance the players' technical and physical readiness and promote harmony among the team members before participating in the continental competition.

The technical staff, led by Greek coach Katerina Valida, is focusing on implementing various tactical and technical exercises, in addition to intensive physical training to increase the players' readiness.

Twenty-six players were summoned to the camp, as their names are: Deema Sheikh, Dana Al-Binali, Sarah Barnawi, Aseel Salim, Arwa Al-Rashid, Rital Hakmi, Diala Srouji, Joan Al-Nassar, Mawaddah Al-Maghribi, Suwar Amro, Yara Al-Olayan, Lana Ali, Basma Nawaf, Saba Al-Yahya, Ghadi Al-Otaibi, Hala Al-Shadookhi, Rima Abdulaziz, Rimas Ahmed, Dana Al-Dahyan, Maram Al-Yahya, Maria Baghfar, Yasmine Malibari, Zahraa Talib, Zainab Reda, Lamar Wael, and Dima Al-Rubaian."

For her part, Alia bint Abdulaziz Al-Rashid, Director of the Women's Football Department at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, emphasized that this camp represents an important step in the journey of the Green Falcons, noting that the national team is proceeding according to a well-thought-out plan aimed at creating a promising generation of competitive players.

The Green Falcons will also play three matches in Group B, which includes Iran, Lebanon, and Kuwait, beginning their qualifying campaign on October 13.

This camp reflects the growing interest in women's football in the Kingdom and enhances the youngsters' readiness to raise the nation's flag in Asian and international competitions.
