The President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, and the National Team's Head Coach, Hervé Renard, concluded the first phase of their field visit program to Saudi Professional League clubs. This initiative is part of the early preparations for the national team's participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The first phase included visits to Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Taawoun, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal clubs. Visits to the remaining clubs will be completed in the coming period as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at strengthening integration and technical partnership between the national team and the clubs.

During the visits, the National Team's Head Coach reviewed the objectives for the Green Falcons' participation in the 2026 World Cup and the complementary roles required of the clubs in aligning with the national team's technical and administrative staff. This alignment is crucial for achieving the highest levels of technical and physical readiness for the players.

Renard emphasized the coaching staff's commitment to meticulously monitoring the players shortlisted for the national team, including their fitness, technical skills, and physical indicators. He also highlighted their adherence to comprehensive programs encompassing sleep patterns, nutrition, and muscle development, all within a scientific framework designed to enhance the quality of preparation.

For his part, Yasser Al-Misehal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, commended the cooperation of the clubs, their boards of directors, and their technical and administrative staff. He affirmed that this collaboration reflects an institutional awareness of the importance of joint efforts and embodies the Federation's new approach, which is based on integration and stakeholder engagement to serve the national teams and bolster their competitive presence in international competitions.

He added that these visits are part of a methodology aimed at unifying efforts and exchanging technical and medical data and information between the Federation and the clubs. This ensures that technical decisions are made according to precise criteria that serve the best interests of both the player and the national team.
