
NT U-17 Defeats Indonesia in Asian Cup Preparations

The Saudi Arabia U-17 national team defeated Indonesia 2-1 in a friendly match held Tuesday evening as part of their preparations for the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, which serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Fares Boushagra scored both goals for the Saudi team in the 24th and 73rd minutes of the match, while Indonesia's goal came in the 84th minute via a penalty kick.
National coach Ahmed Al-Hanfoush fielded the following starting lineup: Abdullah Al-Mas (goalkeeper), Jawad Al-Hashem, Ali Al-Yahya, Ammar Maimani, Marwan Al-Yami, Abdullah Al-Batli, Khaled Sharahili, Hamad Al-Shammari, Abdullah Al-Dosari, Ali Al-Makki, and Fares Boushagra.
It is worth noting that the national under-17 team is in Group A of the 2026 AFC U-17 Asian Cup, which includes also Tajikistan, Thailand, and Myanmar.
