The Saudi Arabian Football Federation, in cooperation with the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, announced the launch of the official identity for the 27th Gulf Cup.
This comes as part of the ongoing preparations for Jeddah to host the tournament from September 23 to October 6, 2026.
The tournament will be held in Jeddah for the first time, marking a new chapter in the tournament's history and reflecting the Kingdom's growing prominence in hosting major sporting events.
The new identity is inspired by the spirit of the Gulf and the details of Jeddah, as the logo's design is inspired by the historic "rawashin" windows for which Jeddah's historic district is famous, forming the shape of the tournament trophy, that reflects the tournament's connection to the city's cultural and architectural heritage, and gives the identity a visual character that expresses the authenticity of the place.
The colors of the new identity were inspired by those of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with the vibrant colors associated with Jeddah, and turquoise hues reminiscent of the Arabian Gulf coast, reflecting the maritime character and the cultural and geographical ties between the Gulf states.
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation emphasized that the new identity embodies the great passion that Gulf fans have for the tournament and highlights the fraternal bonds and long-standing sporting and social history that the Gulf Cup represents among the peoples of the region, in addition to the rapid development of Gulf football at all levels.
The launch of the identity coincides with the countdown to the draw ceremony scheduled for May 19 in historic Jeddah, amidst widespread anticipation from fans and the media, as the tournament is considered one of the most prominent and popular sporting events in the Gulf.
