
The NT kicks off New York Camp in preparation for 2026 World Cup

The Saudi national team began its training this evening, Tuesday, at its preparatory camp in New York City, as part of the fourth and final phase of its program to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.
The national team delegation arrived in New York City yesterday, Monday, to begin the first phase of the preparatory camp, which will continue until the 31st of this month. This phase includes a friendly match against Ecuador next Saturday at Sports Illustrated in Harrison, New Jersey.
On the field, the national team players held their training session this evening at the New York City FC training center, under the supervision of head coach Giorgos Donis and his assistant coaching staff, as the session began with warm-up exercises, followed by passing drills, then small-sided games, before the players moved on to tactical exercises.
In related news, Nawaf Al-Aqidi did not participate in the training session, as he is undergoing a special rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical staff until he recovers from injury.
The Saudi national team will continue its training tomorrow evening, Wednesday, with a session at the New York City FC training center, as the first 15 minutes of the session will be open to the media.
