
Donis Grants Saudi Players a Day Off After Ecuador Match, Departs for Austin on Monday

Head coach Georgios Donis has granted his Saudi Arabia squad a day off following Saturday’s friendly against Ecuador, played as part of the fourth-and-final stage of their FIFA World Cup 2026™ preparations.
Players were also given free time to explore New York City on Sunday before regrouping later in the evening at the team hotel.
The Green Falcons will travel to Austin, Texas on Monday to begin the second stage of their camp, which runs until June 9.
During this period, Saudi Arabia will play two matches. The first will see the Green Falcons face Puerto Rico on June 5 at Q2 Stadium in Austin, before taking on Senegal on June 9 at Toyota Field in San Antonio.
The squad will return to training on Monday evening with a closed session at Austin FC’s training facilities.
