The SAFF Concludes FIFA Workshop on Amateur Football Development

FIFA, in coordination with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, organized a workshop on amateur football development in Riyadh in late May, as part of FIFA's global football development programs.
The workshop was attended by more than 100 participants representing the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of Education, the SAFF, the Saudi School Sports Federation, the Amateur Football League, as well as local clubs and academies.
The workshop aimed to discuss ways to develop the amateur football system and strengthen its supporting organizational and operational infrastructure, thereby contributing to increasing the player base and improving institutional efficiency, in line with the Kingdom's football development goals.
The workshop focused on analyzing the current state of amateur football in the Kingdom and comparing it to global best practices, thereby enhancing development opportunities and increasing community participation.
The workshop featured practical applications and theoretical discussions on best practices in amateur football governance, coordination mechanisms among stakeholders, and a review of sustainable development models that support talent and promote the game's growth at all levels.
The workshop also included presentations of experiences from various national federations, aiming to exchange expertise and learn from successful international models.
A delegation from FIFA, including Belhassen Malouche and Amr Moheb, participated in the workshop, while Matt Crocker represented the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, as participants discussed mechanisms for developing amateur football and enhancing integration among stakeholders to support the game's growth and long-term sustainability.
This workshop is part of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's efforts to strengthen cooperation with FIFA and benefit from international development programs, supporting the growth of Saudi football across all age groups.
