The NT resumes training in preparation for their first World Cup match

The Saudi national team resumed training today, Wednesday, in Austin, Texas, in preparation for their match against Uruguay next Tuesday, the opening game of their campaign in the 2026 FIFA World Cup™.
The Saudi players held their training session at Q2 Stadium in Austin, under the supervision of head coach Giorgos Donis, as the players were divided into two groups, as the first group, comprised of players who started in the match against Senegal, performed recovery exercises in the gym and on the field, while the second one began with a warm-up, followed by ball possession drills, before concluding the session with a one-on-one goalkeeper scrimmage.
The Saudi team will continue their training tomorrow evening, Thursday, with a session at Q2 Stadium in Austin. The first 15 minutes of the session will be open to the media.
In a related development, the training session was attended by members of the local community in Austin, as part of an open training event for the community, in addition to a number of Saudi scholarship students.
The attendees watched the training session, after which several Saudi national team players met with them to sign autographs and take commemorative photos.
